On 1 and 2 October, a team of five members from City Harvest Church (CHC), led by Joseph Ang, went to Glory Christian Church (GCC) in Sabah for a mission trip that left a deep imprint in all of their hearts.
The team conducted seven bilingual sessions in the church and encouraged its members to remain committed to its vision to carry the apostolic call to impact cities and influence nations.
One of CHC’s School of Theology (SOT) graduates, Chin Fui Yun, currently pastors the Chinese congregation.
“It struck me how the training received in SOT can make a tremendous difference,” said Joseph. The Chinese congregation has grown from 200 to 300 members over a span of three years under Fui Yun’s leadership.
GCC is also in the midst of a church building campaign to raise funds in order to build a state-of-the-art facility. As Joseph recalls fondly, “GCC’s new building is modeled after our very own church in Jurong West.
The significant impact that the church building in Jurong West has made in churches like GCC is definitely encouraging!”
