On the weekend of 7 to 9 November, Rev Kong Hee visited Heart of God Church to impart an empowering message.
His sermons over three nights brought not only a powerful word but proved to be a life-changing experience for the congregation — three-quarters of which are youth.
The congregation was hungry for God — the weekend saw a strong turnout of 1,300 — packing the hall which usually sees about 1,100 each weekend.
On the first night Pastor Kong explained the four levels of the heart. On the second night, he defined what the City Harvest Church DNA is. Heart of God Church being an affiliate of CHC, Pastor Kong hopes that Heart of God members will also carry the same DNA in them. This “DNA” covers the Great Commandment, the Great Commission, and the Cultural Mandate.

The third night, Pastor Kong brought a mind-blowing revelation to the members, explaining how Christians are to be contemporary and relatable to the world. The message renewed mindsets about what it really meant to impact the world as representatives of God.
With this empowering message, the adults at Heart of God Church are now eager to shine in the marketplace and do well for God, thinking up new ways to influence their workplace. As for the youth, there is great potential for them to take the Cultural Mandate to a whole new level and incorporate it into their daily lifestyles.
Pastor Kong’s weekend visit brought renewed revelation to Heart of God Church — releasing a contemporary and relevant style of Christianity into this country. More to come at Asia Conference 2008!
