City Harvest Church (CHC) Penang hosted Deputy Senior Pastor of CHC Singapore, Tan Ye Peng to its new sanctuary on 26 and 27 October 2008. Tan was there to conduct a Growth & Evangelism Seminar which was attended by more than 140 church leaders in Malaysia.
The participants of the seminar included pastors and leaders from Rhema Church Setiawan, GMC Sungai Petani and City Life Church Butterworth. During the one and a half day seminar, Tan expounded on powerful biblical truths about reaching out to the community and building the church.

Reuben Ng, member of CHC Penang reflected, “Through the seminar, I learnt the importance of not just having faith, but acting on the faith I received.”
Another church leader, Shama Sankaran added, “Tan’s teaching was such a blessing; he taught us with such simplicity and clarity on how we can win souls for Jesus.”
Indeed, the seminar has brought CHC Penang to another level. Saras Bany, the Senior Pastor of CHC Penang believes that the seminar has given the church clear direction and guidance on how evangelism can be done effectively in their church.
Having laid such a strong foundation, we believe that the CHC Penang will go on to impact many lives in Malaysia!
