Amidst the gloomy outlook of the global economy, this theme (as titled) was chosen for the annual Love Singapore Pastor’s Prayer Summit to reflect and reinforce God’s heartbeat, His unchanging promise and His enduring agenda for every generation.
The Pastors’ Prayer Summit is organized by Love Singapore Network, a movement in Singapore that promotes unity amongst the churches in Singapore.
This year, the convener of this Prayer Summit is Edmund Chan, Senior Minister of Covenant Evangelical Free Church.
In his foreword found in the Prayer Summit booklet, he shared that… “What sets the Pastors’ Prayer Summit apart is the fact that it is open to all God’s ministers regardless of church distinctives. In other words, it is inclusive — a powerful statement of our making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace… the Summit also provides a safe environment for pastors and leaders to cultivate covenant relationships centred in God and His Kingdom mission…”

As with previous years, the prayer summit of 2009 was conducted in the month of January and the venue was the Renaissance Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia.
This year, a total of 374 delegates from over 70 churches and 19 organizations took part in this annual event. City Harvest Church was represented by Executive Pastor, Derek Dunn and Zone Supervisors, Jeremy Choy and Jimmy Sng.
The speakers in the conference were senior ministers of various churches such as, Faith Community Baptist Church, Covenant Evangelical Free Church, and others, sharing on topics like “Godliness,” “the Grace of God”, etc.
The morning devotions, afternoon workshops and night sessions were engineered to unite the churches of Singapore and to equip the ministers in the common goal of bringing revival to Singapore.
During this 4-day seminar, there were also many opportunities for the delegates to mingle and fellowship; friendships were forged over the many meals were taken together.
On the last day of the Prayer Summit, as the 374 delegates made their way back to Singapore, many left Malacca encouraged, edified and more equipped to work together to see revival in our nation of Singapore.
