John reinforced God’s desire for His people to do business.
Dr. John Avanzini delivered a timely message in the Business Breakthrough Group (BBG) meeting on 23 April 2009 at the NTUC Centre on 1 Marina Boulevard.

Avanzini, 73, is a worldwide minister and teacher of financial prosperity and debt-free living, who spearheaded Avanzini Ministries with a vision to teach Christians the “uncompromised truth about biblical economics while delivering an anointing for financial victory.”
The auditorium was packed to maximum capacity with a turnout of 343 attendees; some even had to stand by the sides as there were not enough seats. Everyone came hungry for the Word of God in season during these challenging economic times.
Using biblical examples of entrepreneurs and businessmen in the bible days, Avanzini preached the Word of God, challenged the people and elevated them to another level of faith with a God-oriented vision.

Avanzini reminded the people that, “The blessing of Abraham is the divine power for God’s people to prosper!”
The man of God went on to illustrate the fact that there was still reluctance in the hearts of God’s people to go into business, contrary to what God has purposed for their lives. “Our economic crisis now comes by those dishonorable who happen to have control over wealth,” said Avanzini. “It is time for the children of God to rise up and take control of the shaken world,” he added.
Elvis Chiu Pak Kuan, 25, a program executive, was one of those who felt challenged by the message. He said, “Christians are blessed to be a blessing to the world.”
Suzanne Chee, an operations director, felt that it was good and crucial that Avanzini share such a revelation, so that people would not feel discouraged and walk in agreement with the often-negative reports they see in the present times. “He is really giving us an all-time example of what a businessman should be,” Chee related. “If those people (back then) could do it, so can we!” she added.
