At SME Fiesta 2009, it was hard to miss Corporate-I’s colorful booth, displaying an impressive range of corporate gifts. This company has set itself apart from competitors in the industry, not just by their innovative product offerings, but with the integrated marketing solutions they offer.
Founded 10 years ago by Rick Quek, who wanted to expand the range of thank you items and door gifts available to corporations then, Corporate-I now includes an events-planning department and an advertising arm. Offering its services to clients as an all-in-one, one-stop shop for companies looking to organize a corporate event, Corporate-I has won itself some big clients, such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and the Singapore Flyer.
Eling Tan, 26, an account manager at Corporate-I, says, “At Corporate-I, we don’t just believe in selling. To us, a gift is not just a gift. We seek to first understand the customer’s needs, then help to create a suitable theme and concept for not just their gifts, but for their entire event.”
The company’s key qualities appear to be “quirky” and “creative”, as attested by its catalog which features such unique items as crystal-studded gadgets. A nine-member strong team is dedicated to designing personalized and customized gift solutions for their clients.

One of Corporate-I’s best-selling items is a leather-clad thumbdrive — it gives a professional feel to an already-useful gift. This one is a hot favourite with banks.
