“It is time to pray now, in times of trouble,” Dr Nelson Kim reiterated, at the Business Breakthrough Group (BBG) meeting in Research University for Leadership at The Riverwalk on 8 May, Thursday.
Dr Kim is the Assistant Director of Division of Ministry to Foreigners in Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul Korea.
The two and a half-hour meeting started at 7.30pm in the packed auditorium, where he began to share his personal testimonies to the business people.
Dr Kim gave an account on how he managed Mook, one of his businesses with a nett worth of US100 million dollars, having over 500 retail outlets in Korea throughout five years, until God called him into full-time ministry to serve His people.
The audience was inspired by his testimonies, including how God sent a mere acquaintance to transfer USD2 million to rescue his almost-bankrupt enterprise then.
Dr Kim stated God was his source of blessing. “To be blessed, the relationship with God must be restored.” He looked up above the skies, instead of upon people, he taught.
He shared that when God was chastening him with his pride issue, there were no nights where his sheets were dry — he cried himself to sleep.
He showed how he used to be a conceited, arrogant man, being so successful at a young age, until God changed him totally. Now, we see a humble, down-to-earth, respectable man of God standing before his audience, presenting himself as a good testimony.
“The best way to be blessed, is to be humble,” Dr Kim spoke from his experience.

From an influential businessman managing multi-million businesses, to be called into raising churches in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and now to full-time ministry of pastoring the world’s largest church of 750,000 members, this man’s faith and courage impressed many.
Peter Ngion, Director of TravelGolf & Leisure Services Pte Ltd, felt that it was really not easy, speaking from a perspective of a businessman himself. “What really impressed me a lot, is his faith, obedience, his works and prayer life,” he added.
Dr Kim ended off the meeting with an exclamation, “The miracle is still alive! Because God is alive!”
All in all, Dr Kim summed up the secret to his success — Prayer. “Never give up, pray until you receive the answer,” he reminds, “If I can experience the miracle, you can experience it too!”
