If your life were a movie, how would the soundtrack be like? You and I is sound artist Song-Ming Ang’s first solo exhibition in Singapore, having previously been shown at SoundFjord Gallery, London, in late 2010. For the project, Ang posted an invitation on his website (www.circadiansongs.com) soliciting letters from the public to tell him personal things about themselves. Based on the contents of the letter, Ang then compiled and mailed out customized audio mix CDRs to the senders. The project has so far received almost forty letters from around the world, some from Ang’s friends and others from total strangers. A select number of letters and their corresponding music will be shown at the exhibition.
