Listed as one of the most influential people in 2010 by Time Magazine, Swift is famous for penning her albums like a mini autobiography, writing about love, fantasies and heartbreaks. She wrote about getting dumped by Joe Jonas of Jonas Brothers in “Forever and Always” from her Fearless album, and her apology to Twilight actor, Taylor Lautner in “Back to December,” a track from her forthcoming album.
She says of the very personal input that went into Speak Now, “These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters. Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person.”
Singapore is the first stop in her Asian tour prior to Hong Kong.
The Speak Now concert is on Feb. 9, 7:30 p.m. at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets at S$90 to S$175 from SISTIC.
