Earth Hour 2011 lines up a live concert, a night walk and an outdoor screening.
Pledge your support toward a sustainable and low-carbon future and join hands with the global community to turn off your lights come Mar. 26, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., in commemoration of Earth Hour 2011. But don’t just sit in the dark at home; join in the celebration at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, complete with a carnival, a free-for-all live concert and an outdoor screening of the award-winning documentary The Age Of Stupid, so kick back with your picnic mat and candles—just be sure they’re made of beeswax.
To walk the talk, sign up for the first-ever Earth Hour Night Walk, a 3.5km long route that takes you around the Marina Bay area in an hour. Celebrity supporters Nadya Hutagalung and Tung Soo Hua, among others, will be joining in the walk.
Organized by World Wide Fund for Nature, Earth Hour 2011 is sustainably fueled by Alpha Biodiesel recycled from IKEA Restaurants’ waste cooking oil.
The Earth Hour 2011 Celebration Party is at The Promontory @ Marina Bay from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Log on to www.wwf.sg to register for the Night Walk.
