Organized by Council for Third Age, the annual Active Ageing Carnival 2011 and 50plus Expo 2011 return with three full days of fun and exciting programs for senior citizens.
With the aim to promote active aging, the carnival will help seniors discover their fun side with activities such as clay craft, glass art, Kangoo Jumps—the world’s lowest impact exercise shoes, and a low-elements obstacle course designed to build confidence.
The 50plus Expo is a marketplace where senior citizens can access financial, technological and health products that are specially tailored to their needs. There will be special performances by one of Singapore’s respected vocalist, Robert Fernando and singer-host, Cai Li Lian.
Also featured at the 50plus Expo will be the My Life, My Home showcasing modern homes equipped with the latest assistive devices and practical solutions to enable the elderly navigate their homes safely.
The Active Aging Carnival 2011 and the 50plus Expo 2011 will be held from April 1 to 3, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sat) and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Sun) at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (AAC: Level 1 and 3; 50plus Expo: Level 4, Hall 401 to 403).
