Got five minutes? In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day as well as MasterCard’s 25th anniversary in Asia, Project Inspire: 5 Minutes To Change The World aims to give you a leg up in making the world a better place through your ideas.
Organized jointly by UN Women Singapore and Mastercard, this contest is open to participants, aged between 18 and 35, who need to send in a five-minute pitch (in words or video) on how to empower disadvantaged women and girls in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa through education, skills training, financial inclusion or social entrepreneurship. A global panel will vote on the winner from the top 10 entries, and the winner will receive a US$25,000 grant to implement the winning proposal.
Ten finalists will also get the opportunity to attend a workshop on sustainable social entrepreneurship and hone their presentation skills through a training session with Bain & Company, INSEAD and UN Women Singapore.
Log on to www.5minutestochangetheworld.org and submit your entry by June 30 to participate.
