This male writer won a ticket to Justin Bieber’s Singapore concert and found himself won over by the Beebs.

Thanks to a recent contest I participated in, I found myself rubbing shoulders with 10,000 Justin Bieber fans who jam-packed the Singapore Indoor Stadium on April 19 to catch the Canadian pop sensation in action. Bieber was in town for the Singapore leg of his My World concert tour.
The Beliebers, mostly young girls—some as little as six!—were decked out in purple (the Beebs’ favorite color, apparently) and holding up banners and posters, were cheering while they waited for the doors to the stadium to open. Hundreds of enthusiastic fans even chased after the convoy of cars that were believed to have chauffeured Bieber to the arena.
If the Bieber fever was high before the show, it was nothing compared to when the concert actually started: the crowd went ballistic as the countdown timer on the LED screen denoted showtime, and Bieber entered singing “Love Me,” the first track in a lineup of 15 songs, as the sea of fans screamed and danced along.
Bieber delivered multiple costume changes, starting with his signature purple cap and white-and-silver outfit, and later, a black-and-red rapper outfit, and after that a purple T-shirt. But it seemed, no matter what he wore, said or sang, the screaming of the legions of fans never let up.
The 17-year-old performed alongside his posse of hat-clad dancers and backup vocalists, showing off his dance moves—admittedly, he is an A-grade dancer. The other highlights were when he performed a guitar solo, and a drum solo, which wowed even the adults in the crowd.
In typical teen pop idol fashion, a lucky girl was plucked from the sea of fans and brought to the stage as Bieber serenaded her with “One Less Lonely Girl,” no doubt making the other 9,999 girls quite jealous.
The show was reportedly 15 minutes shorter than in the other legs of the tour—rumors have it the boy was running a fever—and Bieber wrapped up his act with his number one hit song, “Baby.”
My verdict: His musical talent is definitely on par with his good looks. Though I envy the way Bieber holds the hearts of so many females, I firmly believe that it is the music he makes that make him great. I never thought I would call myself a fan, but I have to admit now I’m a Belieber.
