The Global Day of Prayer is an international initiative that aims to gather Christians all over the world from June to September to pray for their country. In Singapore, the Global Day of Prayer is an inter-church event that draws Christians together for a common purpose. It serves as an opportunity for believers from different churches to work together as each group helms a segment of the meeting, such as leading worship or sharing the offering message.
This year, the theme of the gatherings was four-fold: Faith, Families, Fathers and Future. The organizers also divided the sessions to cater to the English, Chinese, Filipino and youth communities.
At the youth-led meeting at Singapore Expo Hall 3 on June 12, pastors and leaders led an impassioned group of young believers to pray for their families, churches and personal lives. Daniel Khong, a youth pastor from Faith Community Baptist Church, gave an inspiring word to encourage one and all to continue impacting the youth in Singapore. The highlight of the meeting came when a group of young worship leaders and musicians from the band, Youthoria, went on stage and boldly led the congregation in a rousing time of praise and worship.
