The Trichosys Oxygen Scalp Treatment (S$150) at Komachi the Hair Cult salon was created in Japan in-house as an intensive anti-hair loss treatment designed to purify the scalp and create a conducive environment for healthy hair growth. It caters to customers with hair loss or oily scalp problems. While plant extracts and anti-DHT ingredients form the core of the treatment, pure oxygen is channeled to the scalp to improve absorption of nutrients and encourage cell renewal.
The treatment starts with an application of the Trichosys Scalp Cleansing Cream, followed by a relaxing scalp massage. As the cream contains bentonite alongside ginseng and swertia japonica (a Japanese herb), this first step also helps remove dirt, impurities and excess oil in order to prepare the scalp for further treatments. This is the most invigorating part of the treatment—the scalp first registers a cool tingling sensation, followed by gradual warmth that stimulates blood circulation.
After shampooing, pure oxygen is infused into the scalp in spurts of cool air to boost cell renewal and help the scalp absorb nutrients better. The Trichosys Stimulating Ampoule, containing a cell-renewing cocktail of Vitamin E, rice bran, sweet clover, glycosphingo lipids and chamomile, among others, is then lightly sprayed onto the scalp to encourage hair growth. A leave-in treatment which leaves the mane voluminous and soft is the finishing step.

Who can resist the promise of luminous, baby-soft skin? Komachi’s Miracle Stem Cells 02 Facial Therapy is a five-step “ultimate” facial (S$288 for 105 minutes) that creates a brightened countenance that lasts all the way to your next facial. The “secret ingredients” in this facial are stem cells from the Swiss Super Apple, which is known to last longer than regular apples. Its stem cells are believed to stimulate and nourish human stem cells, encouraging them to renew and regenerate.
In the cozy confines of the darkened therapy room, you first enjoy a relaxing facial massage by Komachi’s therapist. She then applies the Light Enzyme Treatment to slough off dead skin cells and to prepare the skin.
Next comes the real deal: Komachi’s Apple Stem Cell-infused Essence, which is lightly sprayed over the face in an even layer. To help the essence penetrate the skin, the therapist uses a delivery technique that pumps pure oxygen into the open pores. This allows the skin cells to fully absorb the essence.
Following that, she places a Stem Cell Mask made with high grade cocoon silk over your face. This mask covers the entire surface, ensuring complete delivery of nutrients to the skin. The therapist finishes off the treatment with Stem Cell Repair Cream and the UV Protector.
The final result: an instantly plumped up face. Lines have all but disappeared, and the ridges that come with older, less elastic skin, are temporarily filled. But the best part is, the stem cell and oxygen effect only grows as time passes. By Day 3, the face is visibly brighter and younger-looking.
