Some 150 ladies from the SK zone held its “Arise and Shine” session on July 29 at City Harvest Church’s Jurong West premises, with their zone supervisor, Marie Skogvard. With aims to elevate self-confidence, women were encouraged to express themselves through dressing up to match the theme “Flower Power.”
Skogvard shared a message to the women on cultivating inner beauty. “Outward beauty comes from inner beauty and true beauty is cultivated from the inside. In this broken-down world, women tend to feel insecure as they compare and look at other women around them. We must learn to be happy about who we are, change what is in our power to change, choose to believe in the truth of God’s Word, and finally guard our hearts and character.” To conclude the meeting, each lady was given a rose stalk, as a symbol to reflect her true inner beauty.
