CHC members follow the case closely via social media

Former City Harvest Church accounts officer Lai Baoting was called to the stand today, which marked the start of trial proceedings involving the six City Harvest leaders alleged to have misappropriated funds of the church.
When questioned by the prosecution, Lai confirmed she took instructions on several occasions from her supervisor, then finance manager Sharon Tan.
Many of the church members present at the trial, about 50 in all, said they were glad that the leaders involved in the case looked calm and composed. Other members of the congregation also followed the proceedings closely via news sites and social media.
Court resumes at 9.30 am tomorrow, Thursday, May 16, 2013.
