Five City Harvest Church pastors were recently ordained and called out to undertake all the functions pertaining to the extension of the Kingdom of God. They talk about the significance of becoming “Reverends.”
Bobby Chaw Ngin
School Of Theology Dean of Students / Missions Director
As an ordained minister, I see myself consecrated as a minister and a guardian of God’s precepts laid down in His Word. I have a duty to safeguard and pass on the sound doctrine of the Scriptures and sound Christian traditions of the Body of Christ that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Joseph Ang Toon Heng
Chinese Church Zone Pastor
It has always been my calling to reach the lost with God’s presence and healing, particularly to the Chinese-speaking. During the ordination, Dr. Cho prayed for me to have “the power to serve” and it is my desire to do just that in CHC and God’s kingdom. I am so grateful to God and the church for such an honor.
Kenneth Sim Hwee Tiong
Zone Pastor
It is indeed a privilege to serve God and His people. Ordination is of great significance, not just in the eyes of the Church, but also in the eyes of our Lord Jesus. My heart is for missions—to preach the gospel, to grow the Kingdom of God and to help plant churches that will in turn win the lost for Jesus Christ!
Eileen Toh Poh Chin
Children’s Church District Pastor
As I was being prayed for, I felt a release of the anointing for a great call to prayer and intimacy with God. At 16, I received a call from God to full-time ministry and I told myself that I would serve Him all my life without ever looking back. My vision is to help churches build relevant and God-loving children’s ministries for the 21st century.
Audrey Ng Hui Sian
Zone Pastor
Being in the house of God and serving God has always been a privilege with or without a title. This ordination is very significant and serves as an encouragement and a reminder to me that I am now living everyday set solely apart for God. I will continue to serve God and His Kingdom purpose, and touch others with the love of Christ.
