What is impossible for man is possible for God. Members of City Harvest Church have brought their greatest challenges before the Lord during recent Prayer Space sessions, and they have witnessed His power at work, healing and bringing a miracle. Be inspired by these testimonies and sign up for 2020’s final Prayer Space happening this weekend.
Since the Prayer Space initiative was started in July this year, to provide members with a form of virtual altar call and worship encounter with the Lord, the church has seen tremendous responses and testimonies coming out of every session.
Happening most months on the first weekend, Prayer Space offers members a space to come and worship the Lord, and to bring their prayer requests and receive prayer from the pastoral team.
Every month since Prayer Space began, members have been writing in to share how they experienced God during the sessions, and have seen their prayers answered. Here are some wonderful testimonies of how the Lord is working even through the computer screen.
TRUSTIN, FATHER OF BABY ONA:
In early March, my wife noticed my baby was squinting. Ona was then 6 months old. We arranged to have her eye checked. To our disbelief, our baby was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma (eye cancer). We were shocked; a simple ultrasound on her eyeball showed almost half of her eyeballs were covered with tumorous cells. It broke our hearts. Still, we knew God was with us.
The follow up meeting with the doctor was even more disheartening. She told us that to preserve Ona’s life, they needed to ensure the cancer cells would not spread to her body—that was more important than saving her eyeballs. This meant that her eyeballs might need to be removed if the cancer spread through the central retinal vein. Ona had to undergo chemotherapy, and the doctor said only if the chemotherapy was successful, could her eyesight be treated.
Days and months went by. While the world battled against COVID-19, we fought our own battles with our baby’s cancer and the effects of chemotherapy. Ona overcame five cycles of chemotherapy, a high fever caused by nasty bacteria infection which sent her into ICU and multiple COVID swab tests due to the hospital’s safety protocol.
Pastor Eileen (Toh) invited us to sign up for the Aug 1 prayer space. By then, Ona‘s blood count was very low. During the prayer session, I held baby Ona in my arms and felt a tangible presence of God filling our bedroom as we prayed in agreement for the restoration and multiplication of her blood cells. In the following weeks, her blood count started to increase!
Since then, Ona has been declared cancer free and the tumor cells in her eyes have all been rendered dead. There is no need to remove her eye balls. Praise God! He is a promise-keeping God!
JESSICA LIOW
Late last year, I went for two scopes after experiencing vomiting from excessive burping. I was supposed to schedule a specialist early this year but due to COVID, it was delayed. I attended Prayer Space and received prayer for my situation. When I finally went for my check-up, the doctor highlighted that through the scope, they would be able to see if there was any growth or inflammation in the intestines or stomach. Hearing that any growth found could be cancerous frightened me. But praise the Lord, after the check, the doctor found there wasn’t any growth nor inflammation in the intestine and stomach at all! Thank You, Jesus!!
ALEX, A PASTOR WHO LOGGED IN FROM KUALA LUMPUR:
I am totally in awe of God. I attended Prayer Space on Saturday, and Pastor Lynn gave me a prophecy. On Sunday, first thing in the morning at church, my pastor approached me to help him in “Zoom training” for the church.
Pastor Lynn’s prophecy was also so accurate, she said “educate” those that are not “educated” in the ways of the Lord. I just started my daily Zoom devotion with teachers from Setapak, Rampai, Jalan Ipoh, Gombak and Genting Klang areas through technology—85 percent of these teachers are non-believers and I am using the Bible to relate to them God’s principles and purpose for our life! At first, I wasn’t sure then if that would work as many were non-believers, but her prophecy confirmed this and sealed my confidence in the Lord!
CATHERINE:
I injured my right wrist a year ago. It was swollen and painful for three months, and I went for Western and Chinese treatments. The pain became less intense but it did not go away, and carried on as a persistent, nagging pain for a whole year. The doctor diagnosed it as tendonitis, and told me that I was not able to carry anything heavy using my right hand.
In July, when the church opened up the Prayer Space through Zoom after service, I logged in to attend. The initial intention was to observe. The pastoral team was so anointed, prayed for people with different health issues, such as migraine, eczema, cancer etc. Pastor Ming gave a Word to anyone suffering from back issues, or pain on the body. He said “Put your hand on the part that is painful and pray for healing.” At that moment, I took the step of faith, placed my left hand on the part of the right wrist that was painful and prayed along with Pastor.
A few weeks passed, and life went on. One morning while I was on my walk, I tried reaching into my back pocket with my right hand—it struck me that I did not feel any pain or discomfort. In fact, I was able to shake my right hand with great ease. Yes, I was and am healed! Now, I am able to carry my bike! Praise the Lord for the healing!
EXEL:
During the weekend of our Prayer Space in August, I woke up in the morning with stiffness and pain in my neck which led to a headache. When the Pastors specifically called out and prayed for those with neckaches, I responded and immediately felt a nice pleasant heat running and flowing down through my head and down to my neck. When I moved my neck, I felt no more pain and all the aches in my neck were gone! Praise the Lord! Thank you CHC for organizing Prayer Space, especially during a time like this. Truly, God‘s power and presence transcends all boundaries and distance.
