This desire to enable people to live longer and better led Lars Brittsjo into the world of healthcare, and most recently the new concept of proactive healthcare.
Brittsjo’s first foray into healthcare was in 1980, when he opened his own optometry clinic in his native Sweden. Despite the success of that practice, Brittsjo believed God had plans to enlarge his tents. After working with big names in the optometry industry, he pursued his interest in natural and herbal medicine, and established his own company, Bionax, in 1992.
Bionax experienced rapid growth with subsidaries in 10 countries — it was a phenomenal success, thanks largely to Brittsjo’s fashioning of his key product Imedeen into an orally-administered skincare item. Imedeen proved to be wildly popular, and quickly came to be recognized as the world’s first cosmeceutical. Eleven years later, the company was sold to Ferrosan.
“At that juncture, I believed that beyond beauty and healthcare, there was a bigger issue to tackle,” says Brittsjo. “I was and am greatly concerned about the world’s growing obesity problem. What the world ultimately needs is an authentic, effective and affordable healthcare solution that provides a realistic answer for overweight people. This solution must prevent health risks, intervene in health conditions, and promote optimum health. With modern biomedical and life sciences, it is possible to develop such a system.”
The problem is beyond skin-deep, says Brittsjo.
“According to the World Health Organization (WHO), out of the 6.6 billion people living on Earth today, over 1.6 billion are overweight, and about 400 million are obese. It’s staggering! If obesity is left unchecked, there will be the growing problem of 30 chronic weight-related diseases. Imagine the lack of quality of life. Imagine the medical costs that these people will be burdened with. The individual and his family will suffer.”

This pressing problem moved Brittsjo to establish The Reborne Group in 2003, a Singapore-based healthcare company that focuses on the medical sphere of obesity and health management. With his team of medical scientists and researchers at the Singapore Science Park, Reborne has since pioneered and introduced the Xndo Centre for Proactive Health Care Model.
The Xndo System, featuring personalized programs and unique consumable products, is now available at over 380 pharmacies in Australia, and in Singapore at the Xndo Centre for Proactive Health Care in Singapore. It has helped many thousands of individuals to achieve their weight and health goals.

“At present, weight-related illnesses such as heart-related diseases, diabetes and certain forms of cancer are causing a great number of people to suffer and die prematurely,” explains Brittsjo. “If this same group of people were to discover early warning signs of their conditions, they could have done something about it. This would enable them to improve their health, lengthen their life span, and enhance the quality of their lives. This way, their health would have given them the time and opportunities to do what they love to do, and spend precious time with their loved ones.
“As I was weighing the possibility of this, I was encouraged by a pastor who shared with me that the Lord had assigned me to speak health into the bodies of individuals — to minister to their bodies!
