Presented by children’s theater company, ACT 3 International, Know Your Numbers With Prudential is a highly interactive game-cum-exhibition that incorporates forms of theater such as story-telling, role playing, dance and music to instil an awareness of fundamental financial concepts in children from 7 to 12. The highlight is a larger-than-life-sized 45-minute board game with specially-designed stations showcasing different financial concepts—the “Learn and Earn” stations feature concepts like Setting Goals, Needs vs. Wants, Saving, Work to Earn, Protection Against Uncertainties and Giving Back to Community, while the “Spend” stations teach children how much to spend and what to spend on, by “tempting” them to spend on material items like movies, books, computer games and toys. Through it all, they are encouraged to make decisions that revolve around budgeting, spending wisely, saving and earning.
Know Your Numbers With Prudential will be held from Nov. 9 to 14, exhibition-cum-games from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily (show times at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday), Plaza Singapura entrance. Free.
