Skin’s got it good with a new aesthetic treatment called Clear + Brilliant.
Using fractional laser technology with a wavelength of 1,440 nm, the procedure claims to be significantly safer than those already on the market, with minimal risks of burns. It also has a “high water affinity,” which targets water in the dermis layer for collagen remodeling. Solta Medical, Inc., a pioneer player in the fractional resurfacing and non-invasive skin tightening industry has received FDA clearance for Clear + Brilliant.
It works by creating millions of microscopic treatment zones in the skin to stimulate the skin’s self-repairing abilities, thus renewing the skin from inside out, targeting problems such as pigmentation, saggy skin and uneven skin tones. It caters to customers who are looking for a more efficacious treatment than over-the-counter solutions or spa treatments, but one less invasive as other laser skin resurfacing procedures that may cause significant pain and discomfort or peeling. One breakthrough feature is Clear + Brilliant’s automatic hand speed adjustment, which ensures uniform distribution of treatment regardless of operator speed.
One session takes about 20 minutes, with visible improvements after four to six sessions. Clear + Brilliant claims minimal downtime—expect one to two days of slight redness, with no pain or peeling. Clear + Brilliant is offered at SL Clinic.
